Chapter 007: The Mysterious Elder
In a daze, Ji Cangsheng returned, stroked his beard, pulled out the hair on his head, wiped his face, and unexpectedly transformed into his great-grandmaster. Wu Qiuyu exclaimed in surprise: "Great-grandmaster! You are still alive? I... I miss you so much!" To his astonishment, the old man who brought him back turned out to be his great-grandmaster, which was wonderful. The great-grandmaster remained as kind and amiable as ever, smiling as he said: "Yixin, you are doing well, so I can rest assured. Follow your current master well and be Wu Qiuyu. I must leave now..." As he spoke, he gently removed Wu Qiuyu's hand, causing Wu Qiuyu to cry out: "Great-grandmaster! I must leave now..." As he spoke, he gently removed Wu Qiuyu's hand and smiled as he turned to leave. "Great-grandmaster, great-grandmaster!" Wu Qiuyu shouted, reaching out to grab the great-grandmaster's robe, but he could not grasp it at all. The great-grandmaster walked further and further away, floating into the air, gradually disappearing... smiling as he turned to leave. "Great-grandmaster, great-grandmaster!" Wu Qiuyu shouted, reaching out to grab the great-grandmaster's robe, but he could not grasp it at all. The great-grandmaster walked further and further away, floating into the air, gradually disappearing...
The old man smiled and gently patted her head: "What a clever girl. If I don't take him away, how can I save him?"
Ji Cangsheng inquired: "What do you think of this place?"
Ji Cangsheng smiled and said, "Alright, you clean up here first, and I will go bring the salt, rice, and stove. From now on, we will start a fire and settle down here."
Ji Cangsheng looked at Yixin's bald head and said, "Having a little monk is indeed eye-catching. We need to hurry and let your hair grow back." Yixin touched his bald head, recalling the scene of Xiang'er’s small hand gently patting his head under the tree, a sweet smile spreading across his face
Suddenly, someone outside shouted: "Is there anyone inside? Someone passing by is asking for a cup of hot water."
Ji Cangsheng smiled and said: "We have arrived home. Down there is our residence"
Knowing that Chao Tiesheng had a severed finger on his right hand, Zheng Yuanshan alone was sufficient to handle the situation. Liu Zhengfeng then carried Yi Xin on his back and quietly departed. He could not help but be secretly astonished, not expecting that a thirteen-year-old child could possess such courage and good stamina
The old man showed no interest in his "difficulties" and simply said: "The girl is afraid of the dark and cried quite a bit, so I took her in. But she, on the other hand, fell asleep while still in tears, and I had to carry her back." Liu Zhengfeng hurriedly cupped his hands and said: "Thank you very much, old man"
Liu Zhengfeng finally realized that the old man intended to take Yixin away. After spending these days together, he had grown quite fond of the little monk, and Xiang'er rarely had such a good playmate. Especially today, when Yixin had risked his life to save him, resolving a seemingly insurmountable crisis, Liu Zhengfeng regarded him as if he were his own child. Now that the old man wanted to take Yixin away, not only was Xiang'er unwilling, but he himself was also reluctant. However, for Yixin's safety and well-being, he had no choice but to let him follow this old immortal.
Surrounding the area, apart from a few tall trees, there are mostly low shrubs and grasses. The small stream flows nearby, adding a touch of vitality.
"Elder! Senior!" Liu Zhengfeng hurriedly grabbed him. The old man looked at his hand. Liu Zhengfeng, fearing to anger him, quickly released his hand and pleaded, "If you leave, this child will be delayed. He is a poor soul, and I hope the esteemed elder will show mercy and stay a few more days to save him."
Ji Cangsheng, accompanied by Wu Qiuyu, crossed over the mountain peak and followed a small stream down to the mountainside, arriving at a slope facing southeast. Looking down, it appeared that a section of the nearby slope was missing, discontinuous as if it had vanished into thin air. Either the nearby protruding rocks obstructed the view, or there was a sheer cliff in that location.
Grandmaster, Grandmaster!" Wu Qiuyu woke up from his dream, rubbed his eyes, and looked around. It was only then that he realized it was just a dream.
The old man ignored Liu Zhengfeng, but bent down to look at Xiang'er and asked gently: "I do not care about him; he will die. However, saving him would take several months, and I cannot stay here that long. What do you think should be done?"
"Hehe, is that what you think?" Ji Cangsheng smiled, taking a sip of water leisurely, "Then tell me, why would I want to harm them?" Yixin said, "You want to take me away, but Uncle Liu won't allow it, so you harmed him!"
Ji Cangsheng stood up, touched Yixin's bald head, and said: "You now have two choices. One is to wait here for death. In any case, they will never see you again. You will wait until your illness strikes and you die here. At most, they will find out later, come back, and bury you, turning you into a grave..."
Liu Zhengfeng said, "Yixin, this old gentleman is a good doctor, https://www.hetushu.com can cure your headache. I just asked him, and he is willing to take you for treatment. Pack your things, stay one more night, and go with the old gentleman tomorrow." Xiang'er tightly grasped his hand, fearing that he would agree. Without even looking at the old man, Yixin said, "I won't go. I want to be with you and Xiang'er."
Xiang'er woke up, slid down from the old man's back, and hugged Liu Zhengfeng's leg, exclaiming: "Father, Yi Xin brother really brought you back. That's wonderful." Liu Zhengfeng gently stroked his daughter's hair and asked: "How did you end up with this grandfather?"
Upon hearing this, Ji Cangsheng laughed heartily and said, "Haha. You, monk, have quite the temper, having violated the precept against anger. 'Wuya' is your senior brother, so you must be 'Wuchi.' Hahahaha"
He was just about to say that he was not Ding Buer, but was stopped by Ji Cangsheng. Ji Cangsheng smiled and said: "You've recognized me, that's good. But what can you do now that you have recognized me?"
Wu Qiuyu, unable to respond, hurriedly ran ahead. He was astonished to discover a large cave on the mountainside bathed in the morning sun, and he couldn't help but jump with joy: "There is a cave here, how wonderful! I will go take a look." Before Ji Cangsheng could catch up, Wu Qiuyu had already squeezed into the cave entrance, exclaiming in surprise: "It is so spacious inside!"
Ji Cangsheng, accompanied by Wu Qiuyu, crossed several ridges and arrived at a remote mountain peak
Having had enough to drink, Ji Cangsheng stood up, put on his bamboo hat, and walked directly towards the fence gate of the small courtyard
With just a single sound of "Ah," the great monk flew a considerable distance, colliding with two young monks and falling to the ground, spitting out fresh blood. "Master!" the disciples hurriedly surrounded him, crying out in distress. Yixin was already stunned, his mouth agape in shock.
Wu Qiuyu excitedly wore a straw hat that symbolized the support of the people. The hat was much larger than his head, and without any hair to hold it in place, he could only support it with both hands
Liu Zhengfeng looked behind him, both surprised and delighted, for the old man was carrying Xiang'er. Overjoyed, Liu Zhengfeng moved to the back of the old man, intending to embrace his daughter. However, before his hand could touch her, it was firmly grasped by a large hand. The old man shouted, "You drink a ladle of my water, and you still want to snatch her from me?"
Xiang'er, feeling tired, fell asleep first, still calling out in her dreams, "Yixin Gege, don't go." ... Yixin kept watch over her until midnight, but finally could not hold on any longer and fell asleep at the head of Xiang'er's bed ...
Ji Cangsheng handed a pill to the great monk and said lightly: "Take it, lie down for ten days or half a month, and you will be fine. Go back and tell your toothless senior brother that he is no longer a monk, and you need not search for him anymore." After saying this, he took Yixin by the hand and walked away.
"You little rascal, you must not run around on this mountain. If I were to arrive just a moment later, your life would be in danger." Ji Cangsheng said a few words without adding much reproach, helping him slowly down from the bluestone, and softly said: "Let’s go. I will take you to where we are staying."
I am not afraid of death. I do not want to leave Xiang'er and Uncle Liu. " With this thought in mind, I got off the bed, casually put on my shoes, and pulled Xiang'er out, saying, "Sister Xiang'er, let's go stargazing.
Xiang'er blinked her eyes and suddenly exclaimed: "Grandpa, you are a good person, please save him! Don't take him away!"
After several days of travel, I arrived within the borders of Lingqiu County. In Lingqiu County, there is Mount Taibai, located to the northeast of Wutai Mountain and to the southeast of Hengshan Mountain, with the three mountains forming a triangular distribution. Wutai Mountain is the foremost among the four sacred Buddhist mountains, while Hengshan Mountain is the northern peak among the five famous mountains. Generally, Mount Taibai does not attract the attention of figures from the martial world, as it is situated in close proximity to the county seat of Lingqiu, making it convenient for gathering information and replenishing supplies, thus serving as an excellent place for reclusive living.
"My surname is Wu, and my name is Qiu Yu, Wu Qiu Yu..." Yixin muttered to himself, filled with a sense of curiosity, and nodded slightly. Jicangsheng was quite pleased with himself and said with a smile: "There is no one named Yixin in this world anymore. From now on, you are Wu Qiu Yu. Do you remember?" Yixin repeated it silently a few more times, nodded, and thereafter wholeheartedly embraced the identity of Wu Qiu Yu.
Jicangsheng said: "Not far from here, there is an abandoned Taoist temple where the person I left behind should still be. You cannot go today; I will take you to see it another day." After saying this, he quickly walked away.
With nothing to do and unable to move, Wu Qiuyu, feeling bored, randomly drew on the stone with pebbles. As the sun shone and a gentle breeze blew, he gradually became drowsy and fell asleep leaning against the stone
The old man walked to the bedside, examined it carefully, and suddenly said: "The injury is quite serious. The external wounds should be healed, but I fear there may be an issue with the head." Liu Zhengfeng was taken aback, looking at the old man in surprise. The old man continued: "Why are you looking at me? Am I wrong in what I said?"
Yixin never expected that this strange old man would possess martial arts skills, and he appeared to be more formidable than Brother Ding and Uncle Liu. He timidly asked, "Is he going to be alright?" Ji Cangsheng smiled and replied, "After taking my medicine, he will be fine in a few days. If he doesn't take it, hehe, then he can just take his time recovering; after all, he won't die." Yixin turned to glance at the big monk, hoping he would quickly take the pill.
Liu Zhengfeng was taken aback, staring blankly at the old man. The old man said: "His headache is caused by intracranial blood stasis, which has interfered with the circulation of the meridians. If you continue to merely nourish and regulate him, the root of the problem will only become more deeply entrenched. If he is not treated properly, I fear he will not have many years left to live"
It is late at night
Watching from the side with a single-minded focus, feeling utterly perplexed
Ji Cangsheng also entered the stone cave and asked, "It is well-ventilated and spacious inside here, would it be good for us to live here?"
Liu Zhengfeng hurriedly smiled and said, "Elder, please do not misunderstand. You are carrying my little girl." The old man stared at him for a moment and replied calmly, "The child is asleep; we will talk when she wakes up." At the same time, he also released Liu Zhengfeng's hand. Liu Zhengfeng took the water ladle and said, "Please, elder, come inside to rest for a while." The old man did not stand on ceremony and followed Liu Zhengfeng into the small wooden house.
Wu Qiuyu thought of Xiang'er again, recalling the scene of sitting under the big tree together, counting the stars. At this moment, Ji Cangsheng also had his own concerns. The two sat separately, gazing up at the sky, neither of them speaking.
Ji Cangsheng looked at him, and a sense of compassion and affection arose spontaneously. He said softly, "Since you have no father or mother, you can take the surname Wu. We met in the mountains, so we can call you Shan Yu. Shan Yu... Shan Yams, hahahaha." After saying this, he shook his head in disbelief. "Shan Yams?" Yi Xin also laughed along. Ji Cangsheng thought for a moment and then said, "It is spring now, so we could call you Chun Yu. But I don't like the character 'Chun', so let's call you Qiu Yu instead. Wu Qiu Yu, how does that sound?"
A group of monks approached. As they came closer, the leading monk suddenly stopped in his tracks, fixed his gaze on Yixin, and asked, "Are you a disciple of the Buddha Light Temple?"
He stepped out of the door and saw an old man sitting alone in the courtyard. There was no sign of Xiang'er and Uncle Liu. He approached and asked, "Where are Xiang'er and Uncle Liu? Where have they gone?"
Ji Cangsheng, accompanied by Yixin, emerged from the Nantuo Valley. As they walked, they chatted and laughed. Although Yixin still had thoughts of Xiang'er and Uncle Liu in his heart, he gradually came to feel that this old man was not so bad after all, so he no longer bothered him and was happy to listen to his fresh stories.
The old man began to scold him: "How can you be a father? You left a girl in the crevice of the rocks while you stayed at home resting."
The old man also turned his gaze to Yixin, lifted his garment to take a look, and said: "It seems he is quite lucky, at least he has preserved his life. Did you treat these injuries?" Liu Zhengfeng replied: "In the wilderness without a doctor, I had no choice but to act recklessly; fortunately, I did not make any mistakes." The old man glanced at him and coldly said: "How do you know there were no mistakes?"
Wu Qiuyu, filled with curiosity, stood up after waiting a long time without seeing Ji Cangsheng return, feeling quite bored. He then stepped out from the crevice in the rock and followed the scent along the way. He vaguely sensed that there was some change in the scenery along the route, though he could not articulate it at the moment. Eventually, he discovered that it seemed the further he walked, the drier and yellower the grass and trees became, for reasons unknown.
Looking at the little monk's back, Ji Cangsheng, in surprise, slightly nodded his head, and a smile unexpectedly appeared on his face. Liu Zhengfeng wanted to persuade Yixin again, but was stopped by Ji Cangsheng, who could only shake his head and sigh.
Wu Qiuyu followed Ji Cangsheng and circled around from the side, only to discover that it was neither a cliff nor a protruding boulder; instead, a section of the hillside was recessed, forming a relatively flat area of several zhang in both length and width. Two massive stones leaned against a few towering trees, obstructing the view towards the valley. The space between the boulders and the recessed mountainside perfectly formed a natural courtyard, almost as if it had been meticulously designed.
Ji and the librarian suddenly said: "What is your name, is it Yixin? That name is not good. Since you are no longer a monk, you should change your name. What is your father's and mother's surname?" Yixin shook his head: "I grew up in the temple, and my master does not know who my parents are." Speaking of his master and unknown parents, Yixin could not help but feel despondent
When Wu Qiuyu woke up, he found himself lying on a large bluestone and wanted to struggle to get up
The great monk scrutinized Ji Cangsheng from top to bottom and suddenly shouted: "Ding Bu'er, you have disturbed the Buddhist Light Temple and abducted the disciples of the Buddhist sect. Do you still wish to leave today?"
Seeing him silent, Ji Cangsheng gently patted his shoulder and continued, "First, you come with me. Within three to five years, we will heal your injuries and illnesses. When you return, you can spend as much time with them as you wish."
His anxiousness turned into frustration, and he suddenly felt weak, collapsing onto the ground. Suddenly, an ominous feeling surged in his heart, and he stood up abruptly, glaring at the old man, and asked: "It was you who harmed Uncle Liu and Xiang'er, wasn't it?!" Since descending the mountain, having witnessed continuous violence, it was not surprising that he thought this way.
Ji Cangsheng sat by the table drinking water, ignoring him
In a daze, it seemed that I saw Ji Cangsheng walking towards this direction, but I was too weak to call out, and finally collapsed to the ground. The sound of my breathing echoed in my mind, growing louder and louder, drowning out everything around me. In the haze, I felt someone pick me up and walk briskly... Later, I lost consciousness...
It is not difficult to save him. If it is just a temporary headache, a few pills, around seven or eight, would suffice. The old man paused for a moment and continued, "However, for a complete cure, it would take at least three to five months of treatment."
Ji Cangsheng, accompanied by Wu Qiuyu, who was originally the young monk Yixin, traveled northeast along the Taihang Mountains. Every day, Ji Cangsheng performed massage and guided Qi for him, and also administered elixirs. Remarkably, Wu Qiuyu's headaches had not recurred.
In less than half an hour, Ji Cangsheng returned, indeed bringing back pots, bowls, pans, rice, oil, and salt
Another hour or so passed, yet Xiang'er and Uncle Liu still had not returned. Ji Cangsheng said, "I told you they wouldn't come back, do you believe it now?"
With a dazed expression, he stared at them, nodding his head, then hurriedly shaking it. This was because Brother Ding had told him that he was not a true monk at all, and now that he had come down from the mountain, he was even less a disciple of the Foguang Temple
Wu Qiuyu looked at the back of Ji Cangsheng and felt increasingly fond of him. Although he was still pondering the strange taste, he did not dare to inquire casually, knowing only that it was a very dangerous place, and he would not dare to go there again in the future
With a single-minded determination, he rushed in front of the old man and asked, "Do you know where Xiang'er and Uncle Liu have gone?" Ji Cangsheng did not even glance at him, but instead walked around him and continued on his way. Anxin became anxious and grabbed his hand, exclaiming, "You must know where they are, don't you?"
Ah? Liu Zhengfeng was greatly shocked, and he deeply bowed to the old man, saying, "It is all due to my ignorance. I earnestly request the elder to save him."
Jicangsheng Dao: "You strike as you wish, and it is of no concern to me whether I evade or not! If you still wish to strike, then just continue with your own actions."
Wu Qiuyu touched this and looked at that, excitedly saying: "I grew up in the mountains and have never lived in a cave before. Let's stay here, I think it will be fine"
Yixin was taken aback, and upon reflection, it truly was the case. He then sat down heavily on the bench and murmured, "Uncle Liu no longer wants me? Xiang'er no longer wants me?"
The great monk sneered and said: "Ding Bu'er, do you think that by wearing a bamboo hat and disguising yourself as an old man, you can deceive this poor monk?"
I do not have that much time to stay here. The water has run out, and the child has woken up. I should be on my way now. " The old man said this and then got up to leave
Ji Cangsheng arranged for Wu Qiuyu to hide in a crevice of the rocks, instructing him: "I will go check on the situation, you stay here and wait quietly, do not run around." Wu Qiuyu recalled the day he had hidden Xiang'er in the gap between the stones to save Uncle Liu, and he smiled foolishly in a daze. Ji Cangsheng took the hat from his head and lightly patted his bald head: "Did you hear that?" Wu Qiuyu nodded in response with a silly smile. Only then did Ji Cangsheng feel at ease to leave.
Liu Zhengfeng explained: "The younger generation encountered difficulties today, and I never expected to return alive. It is truly a grievance for these two children"
Looking at www.hetushu.com, lying in bed in a deep sleep, Liu Zhengfeng felt both fondness and heartache. It seems that entrusting Xiang'er to him just now was indeed the right decision
Xiang'er saw her father return safely and immediately cast aside the sadness and fear she had just felt. Upon seeing Yi Xin lying on the small bed, in a deep slumber, she hurriedly ran over to check on Yi Xin.
The next day, when Yixin woke up, he found himself lying in bed, and both Xiang'er and Uncle Liu were not in the room
Ji Cangsheng said lightly: "Oh, young man, you still do not know the severity of your situation. If you do not receive treatment soon, you may not survive until next year. Hehe, do not act impulsively"
He ran around the small house and headed towards the vegetable garden, but there was no sign of Xiang'er or Uncle Liu, so he shouted loudly: "Xiang'er! Uncle Liu! Xiang—er—" He searched everywhere, calling out, yet there was no response.
The great monk scrutinized Ji Cangsheng from head to toe, yet he did not dare to act rashly. He thought to himself: I have heard it said that Ding Buer is known as the Thousand-Faced Thief, full of cunning tricks, and I must be extra cautious, ensuring that I do not fall into his trap
Liu Zhengfeng felt conflicted, both reluctant and fearful of his heart being hurt, and he asked, "May I ask how to address you, elder?"
The sky gradually darkened
Once everything was tidied up, the sky had darkened. After having a hearty meal, the two, young and old, sat outside the cave, gazing at the stars
Although the great monk was filled with doubt, he remained unwilling to accept the situation. With a loud shout, he leaped into the air and struck down with his palm towards Ji Cangsheng's back. Yi Xin was taken aback, unable to lift his arm as it was firmly grasped by Ji Cangsheng, and could only tremble slightly. Ji Cangsheng did not even glance back, casually waving his left arm behind him.
A gentle breeze blew in, carrying with it a faintly strange odor, reminiscent of a fishy smell, yet tinged with acidity
Looking up, he saw a monk lying on the bed, and the old man chuckled, "You have a monk hidden in your house?" Liu Zhengfeng explained, "He fell from the cliff a month ago and is temporarily staying here for recovery"
Liu Zhengfeng placed the short sword under Yixin's pillow, while massaging his temples, he was worried about Xiang'er. He still did not know where she was hiding and whether she would be scared. Liu Zhengfeng's brows were tightly furrowed, and he was restless.
The smell in the air grew stronger. Wu Qiuyu gradually felt dizzy, and his chest began to feel increasingly constricted. He hurriedly turned around to head back, but felt his strength waning, his steps becoming unsteady, and the objects in front of him growing increasingly blurred
Having said that, Ji Cangsheng lifted the water bowl and poured two mouthfuls for Yixin, without waiting for him to respond, and then pulled him towards the fence gate
So it turns out to be the esteemed elder Ji. Liu Zhengfeng had secluded himself in the deep mountains for several years and was not well-informed about matters in the martial world; this was the first time he had heard the name Ji Cangsheng. To prevent Yixin from being misled, he gathered some herbs and sought Ji Cangsheng's advice. Upon seeing that Ji was indeed knowledgeable and possessed remarkable medical skills, he resolved to have him take Yixin away for treatment, and thus they began to discuss in detail.
Ji Cangsheng returned to the table to continue drinking water. Yixin squatted on the ground, resting his chin on his hands, waiting for Xiang'er and Uncle Liu to come back
Liu Zhengfeng stepped outside and, through the haze, saw an old man wearing a bamboo hat standing outside the fence, seemingly carrying something on his back. He returned to the house, scooped a ladle of hot water, and brought it out, offering it to the old man: "Please, elder." The old man took the ladle and began to drink heartily.
In this desolate mountain wilderness, where are the people? Where can one find salt, rice, and cooking pots?
Ji Cangsheng was originally sitting with his back turned, but upon noticing that he had awakened, he turned around and said: "Do not move yet." As he spoke, he placed his hand on his pulse, felt it for a moment, and then said: "It is fine now."
Ji Cangsheng softly asked Yi Xin: "Do you recognize them?" Yi Xin shook his head
Ji Cangsheng returned, but did not see Wu Qiuyu, feeling astonished in his heart: "Where has that brat run off to?" After calling out twice and receiving no response, he had no choice but to turn around and search for him.
In the thicket, with the sole intention of handing the short sword to Liu Zhengfeng for self-defense, he briefly recounted his encounter with Chao Tiehu and Chao Tiesheng. In his efforts to save Uncle Liu, he had exerted himself to the utmost, and with his mind also having been shaken, he was now suffering from a headache and fainted again.
It was already past noon. Ji Cangsheng said, "I have already told you, they will not see you again." As he spoke, he stood up, intending to leave. With determination, he pushed him back onto the bench and said, "They will definitely come back."
Master ... ... " The other monks stared blankly at the elder monk, unsure of what to do.
Liu Zhengfeng could not stop him and awkwardly said to Ji Cangsheng: "The child is still unaware of the seriousness of the matter, I hope the esteemed elder will not take offense. I will go persuade him again"
The old man reached out and placed his hand on Yixin's wrist, continuing, "He occasionally suffers from headaches that can lead to fainting, and sometimes he might need to sleep for a day or two." Liu Zhengfeng was even more intrigued and hurriedly asked, "Are you a doctor, old man?" The old man laughed and replied, "Do I look like a doctor?" After saying this, he took off his bamboo hat and tossed it onto the table, revealing a head of gray hair.
Ah, this is what a monk should be like. How can a great monk lose his temper so easily?" Ji Cangsheng said with a smile on his face, "Please make way for us, and we shall pass. It would be mutually beneficial for both parties. How wonderful this is, ah, haha." After saying this, he took Yixin by the hand and stepped around the great monk. Yixin gazed at the great monk with curiosity, unsure of his background.
The old man chuckled and said, "What, are you afraid I might abduct him? Haha. No worries, I will leave my name as well. The old man’s surname is Ji, and Ji means to benefit the people."
Ji Cangsheng said calmly: "They will not see you again." "No, you are lying to me," Yixin could not believe such a falsehood. Ji Cangsheng pried open his hand and said, "Then you can wait slowly. I must be leaving now."
The great monk glared with wide eyes and shouted, "Today, I shall seek justice for Brother Wuyah."
His heart was in turmoil, tangled and chaotic, as he was pulled by that strong hand. In his confusion, he wanted to break free, yet he had no strength at all. He turned to look at the small cabin that was gradually receding, tears streaming from his eyes
The great monk heard him mispronounce "无涯" (wú yá) as "无牙" (wú yá) and scold himself as "无耻 (chǐ)". In a fit of anger and embarrassment, he pushed forward with his palm to strike. Ji Cangsheng, however, continued to laugh heartily and did not dodge at all. The great monk was taken aback, quickly withdrew his hand, and asked, "Why did you not dodge?"
"What is the meaning of this?" The common people are displeased, "Where do you come from, monk, to speak such nonsense upon our first meeting?"
"Indeed, that is correct." Liu Zhengfeng quickly moved a chair over, "Please have a seat, elder."
You foolish little monk! Ji Cangsheng's expression darkened, "It was he who asked me to take you away. I have no desire for you, so why would I harm him?"
"Xiang'er, don't be afraid, I am here to pick you up," Yi Xin suddenly called out, startling himself awake. Xiang'er sat beside him and happily said, "Yi Xin Gege, I am here. It was this grandfather who carried me back." Yi Xin opened his eyes, dazed and confused for a moment, and upon seeing Xiang'er and Uncle Liu beside him, he smiled happily.
Yixin hugged the old man's thigh from behind and exclaimed, "You cannot leave!" Ji Cangsheng laughed and said, "You wait for your own, I will go my own way, and we have nothing to do with each other. What right do you have to stop me from leaving?" Yixin could not articulate a reason and only said, "If Xiang'er and Uncle Liu do not come back, you cannot leave!" Ji Cangsheng shouted, "Stop pulling! My pants are falling down! Let go, and I won't leave anyway."
Xiang'er heard her father and that old man discussing the matter and realized that they were truly going to take Yi Xin away. She hurriedly grabbed her father's sleeve and exclaimed, "Father, I won't let Yi Xin Gege go! I won't let him go!" Liu Zhengfeng said, "Grandfather is taking Yi Xin Gege away to save him. When Yi Xin Gege wakes up, we will ask him if he is willing. We cannot delay his treatment." Xiang'er helplessly nodded.
The scene of going with Xiang'er to her mother's grave flashed through my mind. Thinking about the future when I will be gone, Xiang'er will inevitably weep at my grave, which made me feel a deep sadness
Recalling the situation he had just encountered, Wu Qiuyu felt a sense of fear in his heart and looked gratefully at Ji Cangsheng, not daring to speak.
That is wonderful. Liu Zhengfeng, upon hearing that there is hope for salvation, was extremely pleased, "Then please, esteemed elder, stay for a few more days to provide him with treatment. I, as your junior, am immensely grateful and will surely offer a generous reward."
Ji Cangsheng said, "I am hungry. Can you get me something to eat?" Yixin glanced at him and replied, "Xiang'er and Uncle Liu haven't returned, so there is no food." Ji Cangsheng began to complain, "You won't let me leave, and you won't give me anything to eat. What exactly do you want? Are you afraid I will leave? Can I go with you to find something to eat? I am really hungry." Yixin firmly replied, "No!"
The great monk held the pill in his hand, hesitated for a moment, and then swallowed it. He stared blankly at the back of Ji Cangsheng and murmured, "I haven't heard that Ding Buer is this formidable." With the assistance of the young monk, he struggled to stand up and said weakly, "Let us go."
